Wheel Cleaning System
One of the most sensitive areas for customers to have cleaned when they visit your wash site, is the wheels. Your customers are willing to pay more to have their dirty wheels cleaned and with the ICON you have multiple cleaning options that will satisfy even the most demanding consumer. The ProTouch ICON Wheel Cleaning System allows you to choose the method that is best for your market area.
Available as chemical only, touchless or scrubbing brush, with either low pressure or high pressure, or you can offer an “all in” approach that incorporates a combination of options to deliver the ultimate wheel cleaning package.
The counter-rotating brushes have the longest dual-telescoping extension that can reach even the smallest Smart Car no matter how it is parked in the bay. The wheel scrubbers effectively reach into the many different styles of rims available while a center water flush provides lubrication and removal of loosened dirt. You also have the option to apply a wheel cleaning chemical early in the wash program that will loosen the soils to make scrubbing or high pressure washing more effective.
ProGlow Illumination Effect System
Every ProTouch ICON includes the loading system illumination package that effectively guides your customers through the vehicle entering and exiting process. Combined with the audio system these bright, clear and informative messages provide easy to understand guidance for your customers, to ensure a simple and safe wash process.

ProFlow Pressurized Fluid System

The standard ProTouch ICON comes equipped with a full vehicle body spray manifold for applying presoaks, protectant applications and for thorough rinsing. The stainless steel applicator has nozzles positioned to maximize vehicle coverage. ProFlow HP

This SwingAir Synchronized Motion Drying System incorporates motion in the center two producers used to help push the water off of the vehicles top surface, allowing the two outside producers to focus on pushing the water off the sides of the vehicle. Overview
PDQ has pioneered a new industry defining vehicle cleaning method with the ProTouch®Tandem. This superior wash system incorporates both touch-free and friction, giving operators who prefer the “clean” produced by friction systems a new choice. The ProTouch Tandem’s full-body detergent coverage and simplified two brush engineering provides consistent cleaning performance with minimal brush contact. With the widest top brush coverage in the industry, the foam brushes are torque sensitive to monitor the contour of the vehicle and provide low-force cleaning power. Key Components
Dual Bridge
The patent-pending ProTouch Tandem two-bridge design allows multiple cleaning processes to take place at one time speeding up the wash, versus a linear process common with most other friction systems. The belt driven bridges work in tandem to easily glide over the vehicle, adjusting their speeds and covering gaps to ensure the vehicle is completely covered. The ProTouch Tandem is also capable of washing oversized SUV’s and dually trucks. Unlike other friction type systems, the expansive foam top and single rotational side brush configuration creates an entirely open wash bay.
Advanced Tire & Wheel Scrubbers
New Triplex Wheel System technology takes tire scrubbing to a new level of customer satisfaction. During the process, each tire receives a chemical application allowing for dwell time, next the wheel rim receives an intense circular rotational scrubbing, and then the full wheel receives a high pressure blast.
FlashDry®
PDQ’s FlashDry system adds virtually no additional time for dryer service. The three step process begins with the back bridge applying a protectant. Next the front bridge applies a spot free rinse with rain arch, which is instantly followed by forced air from the integrated dryer. The high velocity air keeps the rinse water moving in rapid motion across the vehicle, not allowing it to settle on the vehicles surface.

Drying Options
The ProTouch Tandem can be partnered with a variety of drying options. PDQ offers a fixed integrated drying system capable of FlashDry, the SwingAir Synchronized Motion Drying System, as well as a MaxAir stand alone dryer in either four or six producer configurations.
FlashDry®
PDQ’s ProTouch Tandem integrated dryer option, coupled with the overhead rinse arch, can perform a unique FlashDry service that takes no additional time for a basic dry. This is achieved by performing a rinse and dry simultaneously in a single pass over the vehicle. Developed on the simple theory that it is easier to remove water that is already moving, FlashDry improves rinsing while removing over 80% of the water in a single 10 second pass.
SwingAir Synchronized Motion Drying System
The ProTouch Tandem is also available with PDQ’s new SwingAir Synchronized Motion Drying System.
